The owner of Bombay is committed to a restaurant experience of the highest quality. We do not simply cook: we host you, in the fullest sense of the word. It matters to us that when you visit, nothing should get in the way of your enjoyment.<\/p>\n

Below we have gathered the situations in which we ask for your cooperation, so that the time you spend with us is unforgettable. Thank you, and we look forward to seeing you.<\/p>\n

Groups and events<\/h2>\n

For table reservations for more than ten people, and for events, please get in touch with our colleague.<\/p>\n

Changing or cancelling a reservation<\/h2>\n

If you are running late, we hold your table for fifteen minutes as standard. During that time a colleague will try to reach you and agree an expected arrival time. If we hear nothing and cannot reach you, after fifteen minutes we hand the table to waiting guests who arrive without a reservation.<\/p>\n

To avoid this, please let us know by phone as soon as you can if you will be more than fifteen minutes late, or if you will arrive with fewer or more guests than booked. That leaves us time to find a solution for the new time or table size.<\/p>\n

Dress code<\/h2>\n

In the interior of the restaurant after 18:00, during dinner service, we ask our guests for smart casual attire.<\/p>\n

Before 18:00, and on the terrace during the summer season, you are welcome in casual clothes.<\/p>\n

Children<\/h2>\n

At Bombay we love children: the owner and many of the team are parents, so we know what a joy it is to spend time with the family.<\/p>\n

We also know that there are occasions adults find rewarding and children rather less so. Our restaurant is designed so that our adult guests can enjoy their meal in calm surroundings.<\/p>\n

For this reason we kindly ask that children under twelve are not brought to the restaurant after 18:00.<\/p>\n

Pets<\/h2>\n

Both in the restaurant and, in summer, on the terrace we warmly welcome guests accompanied by their four-legged friends. We are happy to host any well-socialised, house-trained dog or cat that does not disturb other guests.<\/p>\n

Pets should stay close to their owner, on a leash and on the floor. For reasons of hygiene and food safety they may not occupy chairs or sit in their owner's lap, not even in a carrier. Any damage caused by a pet to the restaurant or to other guests is the full responsibility of the owner.<\/p>\n

Parking<\/h2>\n

The restaurant has no parking spaces or parking service of its own. Parking is available in the surrounding streets and in the car parks nearby.<\/p>\n

When you leave, our colleagues will gladly help you call a chauffeur service or a taxi.<\/p>\n

Smoking<\/h2>\n

Under current legislation our restaurant is non-smoking. Electronic cigarettes, IQOS among them, may not be used on the premises either.<\/p>\n

In winter, smoking is possible at the ashtrays set out on the terrace in front of the restaurant. In summer, when the terrace is laid with tables, there is unfortunately no designated smoking area in the immediate vicinity. Thank you for your cooperation.<\/p>\n

Cake<\/h2>\n

If for any reason you would like to bring a cake to the restaurant, we will make that possible.<\/p>\n

We ask you to bear two things in mind. We can only accept a cake on the day of the reservation, and only a cake made by a patisserie, for which we always ask for the receipt and a statement of origin. Without these, current regulations mean we cannot accept the cake.<\/p>\n

Drinks from outside<\/h2>\n

Our restaurant offers a well-stocked bar and a wide range of drinks, so drinks bought elsewhere are not accepted by default.<\/p>\n

If you have a particular request, please let us know before booking and we will do our best to obtain the drink you would like.<\/p>\n

Splitting the bill<\/h2>\n

If guests dining together at one table would like to settle separately, please tell us when booking, or at the latest on arrival.<\/p>\n

For larger parties, and especially during the busiest dinner service, we cannot always split the bill despite our best efforts. Thank you for your understanding.<\/p>\n

Come and visit us<\/h2>\n

To be sure of a table, we recommend booking in advance. You can book days, weeks, even months ahead.<\/p>\n
